Description

This giant yet diminutive steamer was possibly the last steam engine used in commercial service in the USA. For those who are familiar with the East Tennessee and Western North Carolina, or Tweetsie, you should know how this steamer would interchange with the ETWNC's two former SOU 2-8-0s in Elizabethton, TN. The two former SOU steamers would get repurchased by the SOU for excursion use, and one of them, SOU #630, has recently been restored to run on NS and TVRM excursions. This 0-6-0T is on display in Elizabethton with a ETWNC narrow-gauge boxcar and a SOU wooden cupola caboose.
