Description
Two of the fine workhorses that ran on the Ohio Central's tourist line sit side-by-side in the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, OH. On the left is Canadian National 4-6-0 #1551, which was one of Jerry Joe Jacobson's first steam locomotives and was the first steam engine to haul excursions on the Ohio Central between Sugarcreek and Baltic, OH. On the right is Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #1293, a favorite engine amongst OHCR crews. 1293 was operational recently, but has since had to be pulled out of service due to its 15-year tube time expiring. Given that these two engines were operational in the near past, it would hopefully not take too much to get both of these engines up and running in the near future!
